I have a not-yet-written part of a fanfic in my mind, and so far I had no real grab on the scene until now. But this pic is absolutely-grab-worthy! Exactly what I didn't even know I had in mind!
[insert long praise here]
And a message to the artist: Great picture. I like the realistic style of it that makes it look like promotional movie fanart. Especially the details in the robes amd the wrackage in the background. Gives the entire thing just the right atmosphere of dark power
The Imperial Guards are menacing, but I've always wondered about those weapons. How would the guards utilize them, I wonder?
I like the atmosphere you've created. You immediately picture a wet, dank sky spitting snow. It also raises questions. This place looks bleak. What is Palpatine's interest in it?
You gave such an awesome feeling to the scene..
and the composition is just perfect!
as a huge Star Wars Fan myself, I applaud you!
"Darker, ash-covered planet?" Maybe we're seeing fallout...
The sky was overcast. It reminded Palpatine of Naboo's early winter. Clouds spit dirty snow, and the wind was pleasantly cool. He knew the weather had been semi-tropical mere days ago, but that was before the star superdestroyer Revenge vaporized cities with all their inhabitants. With the snow were the ashes of people, homes, industry and more. He smelled the acrid stench of lives lost.
Good. Now this world was his.
